Norway, Lofoten (part 5)

The ferry trip from Bodo to Lofoten took three hours. It was 14°C outside and the sky started to clear up. The view from the ferry to the archipelago impressed us immediately.  

Vožnja s trajektom iz mesta Bodo do Lofotov je trajala tri ure. Zunaj je bilo 14°C in se je začelo jasniti. Že pogled s trajekta na otočje naju je takoj navdušil.

The fog made the scene a little mysterious. We landed in Moskenes and immediately went to the village of Å. A small fishing village with red houses and racks for drying fish. Houses stand on pile dwellings, and behind them are high mountains. It’s wonderful! We were in a good mood because the weather had improved. At the same time, we realized Lofoten was quite crowded, we met many more tourists here than in the rest of Norway. We slept in the parking lot near the ferry port (67.879997, 12.9775).

Pristali smo v kraju Moskenes in se takoj odpravila v vasico Å. Mala ribiška vasica z rdečimi hišami in stojali za sušenje rib. Hiše stojijo na kolih, za njimi pa se dvigajo visoke gore. Prizor je res čudovit. Midva sva bila vesela tudi zato, ker se je vreme izboljšalo. Prespala sva na parkirišču v bližini trajektne luke (67.879997, 12.9775). Lofoti so precej oblegani, tu sva srečala veliko več turistov kot po ostali Norveški.

The next day we climbed up 1987 stone stairs to the peak of the Reinebringen hill. We stopped for a bit during the ascent and saw four orcas swimming in the water in the bay below us. We were absolutely delighted to see the orcas and spent some time observing the sea below. 

Naslednji dan sva se povzpela na hrib Reinebringen, na katerega vodi 1987 kamnitih stopnic. Midva sva se med vzponom malo ustavila in v zalivu pod nama zagledala štiri orke, kako plavajo v vodi. Bila sva čisto navdušena in kar nekaj časa opazovala orke.

It turned out to be a good decision that we went to the hill early in the morning. At that time we met only a couple of hikers, and we were alone at the top. When we were returning, large groups of people started to climb the mountain. Definitely, I will never forget the view from the top. The sky wasn't  completely clear, but the views were unforgettable.

Na hrib sva se odpravila že zgodaj zjutraj in srečala le par pohodnikov, na vrhu sva bila pa sama. Teh razgledov zagotovo ne bova pozabila. Nebo še vedno ni bilo popolnoma jasno, razgledi pa kljub temu nepozabni. Ko sva se vračala pa se je na goro povzpenjala že cela kolona ljudi.

Impressed by the views and happy that we avoided the crowds, we walked to the nearby village of Reine.

Vesela, da se vreme izboljšuje in da sva se izognila gneči sva šla peš še do bližnje vasice Reine.

In the afternoon we went hiking to Kvalvika beach. We parked on a non-traffic road where it was very foggy. But when we climbed over the lower mountain pass and reached the beach, the sun was shining. White sandy beach and clear turquoise sea! Except the water was sooooo cold. Due to midnight sun it's really no problem if a hike was delayed, so we were in no hurry to get back to the van.

Navdušena nad jutranjim vzponom, sva se popoldne podala še na plažo Kvalvika. Parkirala sva ob neprometni cesti, kjer je bilo zelo megleno. Ko pa sva se povzpela čez nižji prelaz in prišla do čudovite plaže, pa je sijalo sonce. Plaža z belo mivko, turkiznim morje! Samo voda je bila tako zelooo mrzla. Ker je tu svetlo skoraj celo noč, res ni problema, če se je kakšen pohod zavlekel, zato se nama ni mudilo nazaj do kombija.

It was a crazy day. In the evening drive past the Ramberg beach, wached the subset and slept in the vicinity.

Za nama je nor in čisto prenatrpan dan. Samo še večerna vožnja mimo plaže Ramberg, v bližini katere sva prespala.
