Mountain Osternig

Ostering is the peak in the eastern part of Carnian Alps, which exceeds the height of 2000m. It is located on the border between Italy and Austria near Tarvisio (Trbiž), from where we continued driving to the village of Ugovizza (Ukve) and then along the mountain road to the Rifugio Nordio hut and finally parked nearby.

Ostering je v vzhodnem delu Karnijskih alp in presega višino 2000m. Nahaja se na meji med Italijo in Avstrijo v bližini Trbiža (Tarvisio), od koder sva nadaljevala z vožnjo do vasi Ugovizza (Ukve) in nato po gorski cesti do koče Riffugio Nordio, kjer sva v bližini parkirala.

At first we were walking to Bistrica mountain pasture. The mountain slope is forested, therefore the ascent is pleasant despite the summer heat. We hiked to the mountain top along the right mountain trail, and returned along the left one. Despite the fact that the sky was not completely clear, the views were wonderful.

Najprej sva se po pobočju povzpela do planine Bistrica. Ker je na tem delu gozd, je vzpon kljub poletni vročini prav prijeten. Iz planine do vrha sva se povzpela po desni poti, vrnila pa po levi. Kljub temu, da nebo ni bilo čisto jasno, so bili razgledi čudoviti.

A lively mountain pasture was full of visitors and animals such as horses, cows, goat, ... In the group some white horses with black spots were hiding.

Na planini Bistrica je veliko živali, konjev, krav, koz,.. Med čredo so bili tudi beli konji z črnimi pikacami.

The ascent is not demanding. It took us about two hours, and it is necessary to overcome the 842 m altitude difference.

Vzpon ni zahteven. Midva sva potrebovala približno dve uri, potrebno pa je premagati 842 m nadmorske višine.
