raziskovanje otoka Krka / exploring the island of Krk
Spring or autumn seem to me the most proper time for a trip to the seaside. There are no crowds of tourists on the beaches and no traffic jams. Last weekend we decided to visit the island Krk, which is about a two-hour drive away. Not too much to get tired of driving and just enough to make sure we could forget about our daily routine.
Midva sva začela hoditi kar v mestu ob obali do kampa Bunculuka, nato skozi borov gozd in čez nekaj vzpetin do Vele luke.
It is still too cold for swimming, but the conditions for hiking are excellent. On Saturday we went from Baška to the bay Mala and also to the bay Vela Luka. We started walking from the town Baška, along the coast to the Bunculuka camping place, then through the pine forest and over hills to Vela Luka.
Pot je dobro označena. Za gozdom se začne kamnita pokrajina.
The path is well marked. Leaving the forest, we reached a rocky landscape.
As we crossed the hills, a completely different landscape lay there in front of us. In the eastern part of the island is a beautiful valley caught between the hills overlooking the island of Prvić. Peace and sheep are at home there.
We descended over the rocky slope to Vela Luka. There is a rather large sandy beach, an abandoned house and also a pub, which is closed at this time of the year.
Približno deset minut je oddaljena Mala luka.Mala luka is about ten minutes away.
We were there accompanied by sheep, the sea was crystal clear, and the ruins of an old house were on the coast. We also climbed another nearby hill and enjoyed the view.

We could return home by the same route, but we chose another path by descending through the Vrženica canyon. In some places, a little caution was needed.
After about an hour we arrived at the beach and sat there, on a sandy beach, looking at the water and resting.
Pot dva nadaljevala do kampa Bunculuka mino samotnih plaž, majhnih in malo večjih. Prehodila sva 25 km, dejansko pa pot ni toliko dolga. Midva sva večkrat šla do kakšne plaže, pa na kakšen hrib in uživala planinsko morski dan.
We returned to the Bunculuka camping place passing lonely beaches, small and slightly larger. We walked about 25 km, but in fact the path is not that long. Often we visited some beaches and some nearby hills and enjoyed the mountain sea day.
That was quite a hike! The landscape is beautiful, the blues of sea and sky spectacular. It looks like you had the area to yourselves!
