megleni Stol / mountain Stol in the fog

Že med tednom nama je uspelo pobegniti v hribe, tokrat na Stol, najvišji vrh Karavank. Ker po hribih v tistem kocih še nisem hodila, sem se izleta precej veselila. Vremenska napoved je sicer obljubljala megleno jutro, ampak potem, čez dan, bi se morala megla razkaditi in posijati sonce. Žal je megla ostala cel dan in midva sva precej slabo videla, kje sploh hodiva. Med celo potjo sva imela na razpolago le nekaj trenutkov brez megle, takrat je nastala spodnja fotka.

A few days ago, we managed to escape to the hills during the working week, this time we went to Stol, the highest peak of the Karavanke mountains. As I hadn’t walked in this part of the Slovenian hills yet, I was pretty much looking forward to the trip. The weather forecast promised a foggy morning, but then, during the day the fog should have dissipated and the sun should have shined. Unfortunately, the fog remained all day and we could hardly see where we were going. During the whole trip we had only a few moments without fog, that's when the photo below was taken.

Najprej naju je pot vodila skozi meglen gozd.

First, the path led us through a foggy forest.

Med potjo, ki se precej strmo vzpenja, so lepi razgledi na dolino in na Blejsko jezero v daljavi.

Along the path, which climbs quite steeply, there are beautiful views of the valley and Lake Bled in the distance.

Na vrhu se je že nabirala megla.

Fog was already gathering at the top.

Najinih par trenutkov skoraj brez megle sva porabila za kratek počitek.
We spent our few moments with almost no fog for a short rest.

Koča pod vrhom je bila zavita v meglo, močno je pihalo in bilo precej mrzlo. Nadaljevala sva proti vrhu, kjer pa se ni videlo skoraj nič.

The mountain hut below the peak was shrouded in fog, the wind was blowing hard and it was quite cold. We continued towards the peak, where almost nothing could be seen.

Slabo vreme pa ni motilo čudovitih rožic, ki cvetijo ob poti.
Bad weather did not bother the beautiful flowers blooming along the way.

Zvečer sva hribe opazovala iz doline, še vedno so bili skriti za meglo in oblaki. V dolini pa je bil prav prijeten večer.
In the evening we watched the hills from the valley, still hidden behind the fog and clouds. Oppositely, it was a pleasant evening in the valley.
