Kljub razočaranju, smo šli v vas in obiskali samostan, čokoladnico in jelene.

We were headed to Olimje thermal park full of water slides and pools. Because of a rainy day the park was closed and we could only observe water slides through the gate. Despite our disappointment, we went to the village and visited monastery, chocolate shop and a deer farm.

The monastery has the garden of herbal plants with nearly two hundred species of medical herbs. The visitors can walk around the garden and observe plants with signs, which have Slovene and Latin names and a few data about healing effects written on them.

There is also a pharmacy with homemade remedies such as teas, tinctures and ointments. To my surprise, a lot of young people stood in the line to buy something.

A chocolate shop is located in the neighbourhood and we couldn’t pass by without buying some chocolate sweets.

Not too far from monastery there is also s deer farm, where animals can be fed with corn.
