Italian Apennines, Castellucchio di Norcia

Our next stop was the tiny little village of Castelucchio di Norcia, which is situated below Monte Vettore.

Najin naslednji postanek je bila čisto majhna vasica Castellucchio di Norcia, ki leži pod goro Monte Vettore.

Italian regions Umbia and Marke were hit by a devastating earthquake in 2016. Ruined houses and abandoned villages are still there reminding us of the catastrophe. Many houses are not being renovated. The scenes were terribly sad.

Umbijo in Marke je leta 2016 prizadel rušilni potres. Nanj še vedno spominjajo porušene hiše in zapuščene vasi…. Številnih hiš nihče ne obnavlja. Človeka kar stisne pri srcu.

When we drove down the panoramic road from the Forca di Presta mountain pass, we saw beautiful flower fields. The winters here are very cold, and the summers are hot, which is exactly a suitable climate for growing lentils. Some fields are already sown with lentils, while others grow poppies, cornflowers, daisies... Paradise for photographers.

Ko sva se spustila po panoramski cesti iz gorskega prelaza Forca di Presta, sva zagledala čudovita cvetlična polja. Zime so tu zelo mrzle, poletja pa vroča, primerno podnebje za gojenje leče. Nekatera polja so posejana z lečo, na nekaterih pa rastejo mak, plavice, marjetice… Raj za fotografe.

I woke up early in the morning and while it was still dark, I walked along the paths between the fields and waited for the sun to rise.

Zjutraj sem se zbudila zelo zgodaj in se sprehodila po potkami med polji, ko je bil še mrak in tam pričakala prve sončne žarke.
