January ended and our lives remain pretty much the same. Working, cooking, cleaning, home-schooling. The same things are going on over and over again almost every day. I’ve been listening to the news, Slovenia is the country with the longest home-schooling period in Europe. Children and parents are tired of online learning. The reopening of school is demanded. We should be careful not to get infected with covid, but we also shouldn’t forget education and social life of our children. I hope some changes will happen soon.

Despite the weather I am walking almost every day. By the end of January I have walked 210 km or 130 miles. It simply makes me feel good. Nature is very beautiful regardless of the weather.

Mostly I was walking around our home town.

I also went to the castle ruins on a little hill, which is a popular recreation spot here with a wonderful view over the valley.
I like walking in the snow even if I have to go to distant hills. So during the weekend there were some very nice moments on the top of the hills above our green valley.

  7. Margi - I cannot imagine having school-age children at this difficult time. It is so hard to know the right decisions to make. Walking is a good way to stay healthy in mind and body. Lovely photos!
