winter hiking

It’s been quite a while since I last shared anything here. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right words, and it can feel as though nothing new is happening. Still, this winter we managed to visit the snow-covered mountains a few times and really enjoy the season. Hikes do start to feel familiar after a while, even though no two are ever exactly the same. Since I’ve gathered quite a few photos and because I love the white stillness of winter, here’s a short reflection on some winter mountain trips.

Že nekaj časa se nisem oglasila tukaj. Včasih težko najdem besede in zdi se mi, da se ne dogaja nič novega. Sva pa tudi to zimo nekajkrat šla v zasnežene hribe in uživala v zimi. No ja, tudi pohodi se začnejo ponavljati, čeprav niso nikoli čisto enaki. Ker se mi je nabralo nekaj slik in ker je meni zimska beline zelo všeč, čisto na kratko o zimskih planinskih izletih.

Decembra v Tolminskih planinah še ni bilo snega.

The sunny weather and the grasses frozen in ice on the peak of Kobariški Stol inspired me to take a lot of photos that day.

Sončno vreme in v led ujete trave na vrhi Kobariškega Stola so bile vzrok, da sem tisti dan naredila veliko slik.

Iz Kaninskega pogorja se je videlo vse do morja.

Even in winter, it’s lovely to visit the sea. Around Pazin in Croatia, there are many waterfalls, and in summer the area is surely even more beautiful.

Tudi pozimi se je lepo peljati do morja. Okoli Pazina na Hrvaškem je veliko slapov. Poleti je tu zagotovo še lepše.

Yesterday, close to home, I spotted the first snowdrops, a gentle reminder that winter will soon be just a memory.
Včeraj sem v bližini doma že našla prve zvončke, ki so me spomnili, da bo zima kmalu le še spomin.
