first walk this year

Sometimes it is simply wonderful to visit familiar places, walk the same mountain paths with the same person I've been walking for years. Even if I've seen those places so many times, there is always something new and unexpected. It would be nice to climb to the top of mt. Krn as we did some years ago on New Year's day. But this time we walked across the slope visiting mountain pastures. We started from Kuhinja to Zaslap, continued to Sleme and returned to the starting point. At times we had to cross snowy areas. During the hike we saw some spring flowers, icy trees and some wild animals. When we returned to the village of Krn, the sun set behind the hills. Perfect timing!
