novi začetki ... new beginnings

Informativni dnevi so mimo. Mladi so dobili veliko informacij, odločitev o izbiri šole pa je prepuščena njim. Želim jim, da bi imeli dovolj poguma, da bi izbrali pravi poklic oz. delo, ki jih bo v življenju osrečevalo. Včasih je treba stopiti na prste in seči na zgornjo polico, čeprav se tiste spodaj kar same ponujajo. Sicer pa se celo življenje vrti okrog odločitev in novih začetkov, majhnih in velikih. 

This year open days at Ljubljana university are over. Young people got a lot of detailed information, but only they can make a decision about their future profession. I hope they'll have enough courage to choose the right study and the right profession. Life is about making decisions and new beginnings. 
Kmalu se bo tudi na vrtu začela nova sezona, potrebno bo narediti saditveni načrt, posaditi prva semena, najprej pa porabiti stare zaloge zimske zelenjave na vrtu. Male paprike že lepo rastejo, ta teden pa sem v lončke posejala še solato in paradižnik.
Na vrtu je še nekaj radiča, zimske solate in pora. To bomo porabili pred novo sezono. Pri nas je por velikokrat na jedilniku. Porova mineštra, porova solata, porov narastek, por z rezanci in pršutom.

New garden season is about to begin. A new garden plan needs to be made. I've already planted some peppers and I'm going to plant tomatoes and green salad soon. There are still chicory, winter salad and leek in the garden. We really like leek and use it in many different ways.
Tole pa je recept za porovo pito. Potrebujemo:
500 g očiščenega pora
200 g moke (polovico pirine, polovico bele)
100 g masla
100 g narezanega pršuta
1 jajce
sol, poper,
olivno olje
Moko, maslo, eno jajce, sol in malo vode zamesimo v testo in ga pustimo počivati približno eno uro. Por očistimo, narežemo na cm dolge koščke in prepražimo na olivnem olju. Testo razvaljamo na dve plošči. Na prvo naložimo por in položimo rezine pršuta, nato na vrh položimo drugo ploščo. Pečemo 30 minut pri 180 °C. Dober tek!

Here is the recipe for leek pie. The ingredients:
500 g leek
200 g flour
100 g butter 
100 g ham
salt, pepper
olive oil
Mix flour, butter, an egg, salt and water. Leave the dough resting for an hour. Chop the leek into 1 cm small pieces and fry it on olive oil. Roll out the dough into two pieces and put leek and pieces of ham between these pieces. Bake the pie in an oven preheated on 180 degrees for half hour. Bon appetite!
